How Does a Hammer Mill Operate ?
A hammer mill crushes materials through the striking, impacting, shearing and grinding force generated by high-speed rotating hammers.
Raw materials are fed into the mill from the top inlet and repeatedly processed by fast-spinning hammer blades.
A screen mesh is fitted inside the machine. Fine particles smaller than the mesh aperture pass through and exit the unit. Oversized fragments remain inside the crushing chamber for repeated hammer impact until they meet the required size and discharge through the screen.
